Configurations can be chosen when creating a BOM for a design by using the Configurations drop-down menu in the Bill of Materials dialog box.
How to Use Configurations in BOMs
1. Create a new BOM. The Bill of Materials dialog box will be displayed.
2. Click the Configurations drop down menu and select a configuration.
3. Click the OK button.
4. Use the Insert Column command to open the Insert Column dialog box. There are two standard properties for configurations, Configuration Name, which is the name of an active configuration, and Part-Configuration Name, which is the name of an active configuration appended to the name of a design.
