Introduction

Now that the server is installed and you are able to view the administrator login page, you must configure the server.


Before you start

Before you start this, you will need a Master License Key from Alibre.


1. Log in to the admin area

  1. Go to the IP address of the server you found in the previous step.
  2. You should see the Nalpeiron login screen:
  3. The default credentials are:
    Username:    admin
    Password:     nalpeiron


2. (Option A) - Internet based setup of the Master License Key

Use this option if your license machine has access to the Internet.

  1. If your server is connected to the Internet, then you can register your Master License online.
  2. Click License from the menu, select Get License Online from the Master License dropdown, and press the orange arrow:

  3. Enter the Master License Code you got from Alibre into the dialog and press Apply

  4. After successful authorization, you should see the Status of your Master License is Authorized. You may see an error notifying you of a failure. As long as the Status is Authorized, you can ignore this message.


2. (Option B) - Offline setup of the Master License Key

Use this option if your license server does not have access to the internet.


  1. Click License from the menu, select Create Activation Request from the Master License dropdown, and press the orange arrow:
  2. Enter the Master License Code you got from Alibre into the dialog and press Apply
  3. You are presented with an activation request certificate. Select and copy the string of characters.
  4. Somehow transfer this string to a computer with Internet access. For example, create a new TXT file, paste the string in, and save it to a USB drive.
  5. On a computer with Internet access, navigate to https://www.activationportal.me/selfservice/activation.aspx?cid=7102&pid=5570&Type=1&Lang=en-US and paste the string you got from step 3 into the dialog and press Activate.

  6. You will be presented with a new string. This new string is your certificate. Copy it to a new text file on a USB and transfer the USB back to the license server computer.

  7. Navigate to the License section of the Admin portal and select Import Certificate under Master License. Press the orange arrow.


  8. Enter your license key

  9. Enter your certificate

  10. You should see a status of Authorized. You may see an error notifying you of a failure. As long as the Status is Authorized, you can ignore this message.


3. Change the Admin password

Now that the license is installed, you can change the Admin password by navigating to Users:
