You may prefer different colors to be used in 3D work areas. You have a lot of control over how various items will be colored.


Part 1 - switching between default color schemes


Step 1: In a Part, Sheet Metal, or Assembly workspace, open the Gem menu and select System Options from the bottom of the menu.



Step 2: In the System Options dialog, click the Color Scheme node under Display on the left side.



Step 3: Select the desired color scheme from the Scheme dropdown.



Note the preview will change when selecting a new color scheme.



Step 4: Click OK.


Part 2 - Creating your own color scheme


Step 1: Select the color scheme from the Scheme dropdown that most closely matches your desired customization. This will minimize the amount of customization you need to perform.



Step 2: Click the New... button and name your color scheme. Press OK when done.



Step 3: Use the dropdowns for Category and Field to select the item you wish to customize. Its current color is shown under Color.



Step 4: Click the Color box and select a new color for the selected Field.



Step 5: Press OK. Notice the preview has updated. Note that not all items are shown on the preview.




Step 6: Repeat for all desired customizations.


Step 7: Press OK to finalize the changes.
