This problem can usually be attributed to one of several causes:
1. Graphics issues
Alibre Design requires a dedicated GPU that supports DirectX9.0c or above. Integrated graphics such as Intel HD Graphics are not supported. Make sure the device specs meet minimum requirements for the software:
2. You may need to disable "Advanced 2D Rendering" by going to Alibre Options > Display > General.
3. This may be due to the Windows Default Settings for Font Size, found here:
Control Panel>All Control Panel Items>Display
To get the necessary results Alibre Design requires Display > Small-100%.
Alternatively:
Override the Windows default display setting for Alibre Design by navigating to :
C:\Program Files\3D Systems\Alibre Design\Program
Find the file Alibre Design.exe and right click it and select Properties > Compatibility
Disable Display Scaling on high DPI settings and press okay. Change settings for all users if needed.
Re-open Alibre Design and check that the 2D drawing dimensions, notes and text display completely.
4. Check for any custom dimension style set up that may cause the issue. Also check the Alibre Design Drawing Properties for settings of visibility and colors in Annotations, Layers, and Display, which may affect visibility. If all the above fail, follow these directions to delete / reset the User.net profile:
Windows Vista/7/8:
C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Alibre Design\User_Name
Windows 10:
C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Alibre Design\default user
Delete the "user.NET Profile" file in that folder and restart Alibre. Let us know if the problem persists.
If you cannot find these folders, turn on Hidden Files and Folders. Display Hidden Files and folders with Start> My Computer> Tools>Folder Options> View> and click the check on Show Hidden Files and Folders. You may need to press the Alt key on your keyboard to see the Tools menu appear in Windows Explorer.
